WHAT YOU MADE POSSIBLE IN 2025 |

Celebrating A Year Of Love In Action |
As we begin 2026 and reflect on all that 2025 made possible, I am filled with deep gratitude for this remarkable community. At A Lotta Love, we believe that space matters. A thoughtfully designed, trauma-informed room can restore dignity, offer comfort, and help families begin again.
Because of you, in 2025 we transformed hundreds of spaces into places of safety, belonging, and hope for families, women, and children experiencing homelessness across North Carolina. This work is powered by an extraordinary network of volunteers, students, partners, donors, and board members who turn compassion into action. Together, you helped turn rooms into homes and uncertainty into stability and possibility.
Stepping into the role of Executive Director last November was both an honor and a joy, and I’ve had the privilege of seeing firsthand the dedication and heart that fuel this organization every day. Our inaugural All You Need Is Love fundraiser was another defining moment in 2025 and continues to strengthen and sustain our impact.
Our 2025 Annual Report reflects what you helped accomplish: rooms transformed, families supported, and every act of kindness shared. I hope you’ll take a few moments to explore the report on our website and celebrate what we achieved together. Thank you for believing in this work and for helping love show up in such meaningful ways. |

Executive Director, A Lotta Love |

This November, I stepped down as Executive Director of A Lotta Love with a heart full of love and gratitude. What began as a small idea to support our community's most vulnerable families grew into something powerful because of you.
I'm incredibly proud of what we achieved—over 500 volunteers in 2025 who showed up with love, grit, and talent, and nearly 900 people served that year. Thank you for the countless hours, compassion, belief, and magic you poured into this work.
A Lotta Love has always been about people caring for people, and I'm so proud of what we built together. My role may have changed, but I'm not going far—I'll be working alongside our wonderful new ED, Tina, and the rest of the A Lotta Love team. This isn't goodbye; it's a heartfelt thank you! |

Volunteers Make Our Work Possible |
Whether you can give a few hours, step forward to lead a project, or share your expertise through board service, we have many ways to get involved. Your presence makes a difference and creates a lasting impact for all involved.
From students and families to corporate teams and community groups, our volunteers give their time, talent, and heart to ensure every space reflects dignity, safety, and hope. Their hands-on work brings our trauma-informed design model to life and helps families feel seen, valued, and supported.
We had over 500 volunteers, who are the backbone of A Lotta Love’s impact. In 2026, we are expanding our projects and partnerships, and we need more caring hands and committed leaders to help us grow. We invite you to be part of this movement. Whether you can give a few hours or lead a project, your presence matters—and your impact lasts far beyond the day of a makeover.
Join us in turning love into action. |

This joyful room makeover by our Team Lead Laura Marks at Urban Ministries of Durham was brought to life by volunteers from UNC Newman Center and Sharon Carter. The room is now filled with bright colors, soft bedding, and thoughtful details. From beautifully styled bunk beds to a welcoming desk area, every corner was designed to say: You are valued. You belong. |
|
| The Poduri and Freeman families brought A Lotta Love’s trauma-informed design to life at Durham Rescue Mission, creating a space rooted in comfort, dignity, and care.
Designed for a mother and her one-year-old daughter, this room includes soft bedding, soothing colors, and a joyful play space—thoughtfully crafted to offer security, belonging, and hope. Every detail says: You are safe here. You are loved here. |
