Full Shelter Renovations
A Lotta Love also completes full-facility and common area renovations that transform homeless shelters, crisis centers, and children’s homes into uplifting, functional, and creative spaces designed with the principles of trauma-informed care.
In the last 10 years, we’ve completed 13 major shelter renovation projects and over 126 common spaces, including teen rooms, play rooms, intake rooms, tranquility rooms, dining halls, kitchens, meditation rooms, courtyards, and lobbies.
We redesign and renovate entire spaces.
This includes new paint, wall coverings, flooring, lighting, and appliances, and install comfortable and durable furniture and decor with the resident and staff’s well-being in mind. We also create outdoor oases, gardens, and playgrounds. Every detail is chosen to foster safety, dignity, and connection.
These spaces give residents places to relax, share meals, participate in counseling, study, and build community. They also provide shelter staff with efficient, inspiring, and comfortable environments that support their important work.
Reimagining these shared spaces allows us to create settings that nurture healing, strengthen relationships, and empower both residents and staff to thrive.
